6 Characteristics Of Mixdome Kittens Or Adult Cats ( Angora Mix Domestic Cats )

There are several characteristics that distinguish a purebred Angora cat from a mixdome cat which is the result of a cross between an Angora cat and a domestic ( domestic ) cat. Actually, for those of us who know about cats or at least have a pure breed Angora cat.

Of course, we can see what are the differences between these two types of cat and what are the special characteristics of the mixed domestic Angora kitten. But for those of you who don't know where the difference is, you can see the following 5 characteristics of the mixed domestic Angora cat.

1. Long and Dense Tail Feathers

The Angora cat is famous for its feather duster tail. This is because the fur on the tail of the Angora cat is very thick so that it looks like a feather duster. The characteristics of the mother cat's tail will certainly be passed down to her children.

Kittens or kittens will certainly have thick and long fur on their tails the same as that of their mother, which is an Angora cat. It's just that the thickness of the fur and the length of the fur may not be as long and thick as the parent.

This occurs due to the union of 2 different genes, namely the domestic cat g ene which has normal hair length on its tail with the Angora cat which has very very dense tail hair.

2. Cat's Body Is Not As Big As Its Mother

Both Angora kittens and purebred Angora cats have a larger size when compared to native, Persian and Siamese cats. This characteristic of a large body will shrink in kittens who are mixed breeds.

Angora mixed domestic cats will have a slightly smaller body compared to pure breed Angora cats. Although the size has shrunk a little, but when compared to the domestic  cat, the body of the mixed domestic Angora cat is much larger.

3. Feather Color Is No Longer White

As we know, the pure Turkish Angora cat has a clean white color and almond-like eyes. But this will be a different color when the Angora cat has a child from a cross with a domestic  cat.

The white color will mix with other colors of the domestic cat. For example, if the father and mother of the kitten are white and orange, then the Angora x domestic kitten is white and orange. It could also just follow the color of one parent.

That is, kittens can have white fur or only orange fur. Even though the coat color is no longer pure white, the mixed cat still has half the genes of its parent which is an Angora cat.

4. More Oval Face Shape

The purebred Angora cat has a wide and slightly elongated face shape. But this is very different from his son who is descended from the Angora and the domestic . In the mixed domestic Angora cat, the face shape is usually not wide.

However, it looks more elongated like the shape of a domestic  cat's face. In addition, the hair on the mixdome kitten's face is shorter than the facial hair found on its parents who are pure Angora breeds.

5. Eyeball Color

As with cat fur, the eyeballs of a mixed-range Angora cat will have a different color from the eyeball color of its mother, which is a purebred Angora cat. The color of a kitten's eyeball can be inherited from the eyes of its mother or father.

Or it could be that his eye color is a mixture of the colors of his parents or a combination of both his parents' eye colors, as happened with Oddeye's cat eye color.

6. Eyeballs Are Darker Than Their Parents

When you compare the eyes of a pure Angora cat with a mixed domestic Angora kitten, you will see a slight difference between the two cat's eyes. The two cat's eyes looked slightly different. The purebred Angora cat's eyes will look brighter than the mixed-race Angora cat's eyes.

The reason is simple, the eyes of an Angora kitten mixed with a domestic cat are darker because they are the eyes of 2 different gene mixes. Those are some of the characteristics that exist in mixed-domestic Angora kittens which are the result of crossbreeding between an Angora cat and a domestic cat.
